Roxanne Garwood

Math and Science teacher

Senior Division Head

Roxanne has 13 years of teaching experience and is a graduate of Queen’s University with a BSc (Hons) and a B Ed with Additional Qualification in Intermediate Level Science. In 2007 she completed the Ontario Federation of Independent Schools Principals’ Course. Roxanne began her teaching career in 1998 and in 2002 she became owner and Principal of Sempar Middle School. Her focus as a teacher is on building a strong sense of school community, and on meeting the individual needs of her students. Her professional interests include Outdoor Education and Environmental Studies. In her free time Roxanne enjoys classes in ballet, Latin Jazz, and yoga.

Roxanne’s guidance helped our students achieve great success at the 2011 Regional Science Fair, with three students going on to win National recognition, and we look forward to seeing our math and science department continue to grow as a result of her enthusiastic and dedicated approach to teaching.
