The Physical Education program at KTS focuses on inclusion and active participation. Our primary, junior and intermediate students develop and refine gross motor skills that help them grow into competent movers and develop skill sets that help them be successful in traditional sport activities. Through team play, they discover the important role each individual plays within a team and are encouraged to create strategies to gain success. In addition to becoming competent and skilled movers, students learn the importance of leading healthy lifestyles. Students understand the important role that healthy nutrition and activity plays in caring for oneself. By creating a safe and enjoyable atmosphere throughout the program, students learn to challenge themselves and encourage others to obtain their goals. Students learn how to live healthy, active lives and apply this knowledge to their lives as they continue on in education.
